Winter into Spring in London

Hello Again Everyone, 3 months since my last update and the things to write about are mounting up.  I hope everyone is doing well back home and your individual earthquake recoveries are progressing.

So for a few more weeks into this year I continued to work for Fortnum and Mason until I was finally released from my sentence with one days’ notice about the beginning of March.  I hope this experience remains the most shambolic experience of my working life!  To catch anyone up that doesn’t know, Fortnum and Mason had major problems with implementation of a new computer system resulting in major problems for customer and hence major problems for us in the customer service department.

Anyway moving swiftly on from that chapter, about a week later I started a new role as a background screening analyst role for a company called Hireright in Wapping, East London.  Another fairly meaningless stopgap role, but it serves a purpose.

Weather wise we finally did get some snow but it was pretty much just once, and despite it getting very cold for long periods of February winter was still mild overall.  The warming weather of spring has allowed us to get out a bit more.  Recently the drought warnings have increased and a hosepipe ban was put in place, so right on cue this week there has been a lot of rain.

We have increased sightseeing, in particular by meeting up in town after work on a Friday night.  So the list I can come up with for the past 3 months are.

Lords Cricket Ground and Museum

I went to the Oval Cricket Ground and watched some of Surrey vs Leeds/Bradford University MCCU 3 day match
