Hello Everyone
Due to the fact Nicky and I have both been working flat out since I last wrote (I just finished 11 days straight) we have a bit to catch up on.
On the work front my job with Fortnum and Mason and lasted longer than first expected. I still have at least one more week. All thanks to this LINK
On the positive they have posted a profit which I understand is rare for them LINK
On the home front, a new flatmate moved in about a week ago and we get another new couple about the end of the month. So it will be pretty busy from February onwards.
Nicky and I did manage to get some time away around xmas. We visited the North Kent coast from 25-28 December. We stayed on the Isle of Sheppey and visited places such as, Herne Bay (characters from the tv show Game On are supposed to have grown up there J, Whitstable, Elmley Marshes, Reculver, Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester and Gravesend (Pocahontas burial place).
We had a day or two together around New Years as well, checking out a local football match at Dulwich Hamlet FC, Westminster Abbey, The Jewelled Tower and The Monument (for the Great Fire).
I should note the we have been very thankful for a extremely mild English winter to date, no snow yet YAY. Oh and very exciting at Herne Bay we saw Turnstones and I managed to get lots of photos. I would say on balance now having lived and worked in both extremes remote rural Northumberland & Central London each have there own pros and cons but I can't say that I particularly desire one over the other.
New pictures of all of these things can be seen in my Flickr Account LINK
